What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective for over 1 million teenagers and adults.

Why would I want Invisalign?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. They are comfortable, too, with no metal used during treatment. And no metal or wires usually means you spend less time getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to see how straight your teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

How does Invisalign work?

You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to their final position that Drs. Melnick, Miles or Alexander have prescribed. You’ll visit us about once every two months to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages nine to 15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both can vary dramatically from patient to patient.

I tried to think of the best way to thank you for my beautiful smile, and there simply isn't any way to express the gratitude I feel. This has changed my life. I have a confidence I never had before, and I no longer feel self-conscious during talks and meetings at work. I am no longer hesitant about smiling at people and everyone smiles back. I get comments all the time on my beautiful smile, and I owe it all to you!
